First Aid Training

There is always the chance that any one of us could be in a situation where we are near some one who has a problem that means they stop breathing and are in need of CPR. All the seniors of Immanuel School had the opportunity to learn these skills from some volunteers from a local NHS Ambulance station. They learnt how to tell when CPR could be required and then by using half body dummies, they learnt the techniques used to deliver CPR, which could save some ones life.
Below are some pictures of the event, as well as a very short video clip of some of the students administering CPR to a test dummy. In the Video they are practicing a timed change over, to allow one person to take over the CPR and give the first person a break.
