Chepstow Castle 22nd November 2022
Time for a trip for KS3... They've been studying the Norman invasion with Mrs. Bryant, so where better to go than Chepstow Castle, Wales? We spent the morning exploring the impressive castle ruins (most intruiguing? you've guessed it ... the latrines!?) under some glorious Autumn sun (praise God - this was the only day forecast to be dry for the whole week in Chepstow and we actually got full sun!).
This was a combined trip as in Geography we've been learning mapping skills. So, after lunch we had a town trail, orienteering round the narrow and historic town centre and working on map reading. No one got lost (well, nearly no one!) and we finished off with a quick visit to the town museum.
